Kids Arts and Crafts Cupboard

   1 - Crayons

Classic crayons, beeswax crayons or even special shaped crayons are available for little hands to hold. These can be expensive to purchase all at once but is you’re a savvy shopper (like me) you can stock up during in the back to school sales in August/September where a box can go for as little as 50 pence.

 2-   Coloured Pencils

You need these for the more intricate colouring or writing your little crafters crayons can’t achieve. Keep several styles and colours. They will save the day and provide the perfect finish.

   3-  Felt Tip Pens

Choose washable markers as they are much easier to clean from little fingers and arms and will provide varied colour. If you have older children remember to get marker pens in an array of colours Sharpies are best for those finishing touches or standalone projects.

4 - Water Colour Paints and Brushes

Water colour painting is very versatile and kids love it. It can add colour too many projects and is like the tie-dying for paper just remember to use on thicker papers or it might soak through and rip.

5- BIG Roll of Plain Paper

It is cheaper to buy a large roll of lining paper from the DIY store rather than get it from the craft stores.  As its wider and thicker it is suitable for both large and small craft ideas.

    6- Construction Paper

These are big solid sheets and easy for small hands to cut

Great for sticking, missing with water to add a glaze to a finished project or adding to paint for a versatile finish.
